WLS Ups Liz Nagy To General Assignment Reporter

Liz Nagy, who joined ABC-owned WLS Chicago (DMA 3) as a per diem reporter in March, has been promoted to staff general assignment reporter.

Prior to joining WLS, Nagy was a general assignment reporter at WSVN Miami, where she was a night-side reporter.

Before joining WSVN in 2011, Nagy launched a weekend morning newscast at WEAR Pensacola, Fla.

She also reported for WEAR Mobile, Ala., covering breaking news, crime and the 2010 BP oil spill.  Nagy also worked at WVIR Charlottesville, Va., as weekend morning anchor/reporter.

She got her start in television at WEIU Charleston, Illinois.

Nagy has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast communications from Elon University in Elon, N.C.
