WOFL Orlando To Debut ‘NewsEdge @ 6PM’

The hour-long broadcast will premiere July 11 and will increase the Fox O&O’s weekly news total to 55.5 hours.

 

Fox O&O WOFL Orlando, Fla. (DMA 19) is adding an hour-long evening newscast to its schedule. NewsEdge @ 6PM will begin on July 11.

Anchored by Stephen Hauck, NewsEdge @ 6PM will be a “fast-paced newscast informing viewers on the evening’s developing and trending stories, with a discussion of the major stories of the day,” according to WOFL.

One recurring segment, “The Big Screen,” will showcase interviews with notable local newsmakers.

Another, “Big Six,” will feature Bob Frier and Sonni Abatta delivering a quick rundown of the six top stories of the day.

And “The Wall” will provide a look at the stories that are trending and engaging viewers to share and comment on via social media.

With this expansion, WOFL will produce 55.5 hours of local news each week.
