WTTG News Director Phil Metlin Retires

The 21-year Fox Television Stations veteran is stepping down from the Washington O&O.

Phil Metlin, VP and news director of Fox O&O WTTG Washington since 2010, announced his retirement Thursday.

“I feel blessed to have had the chance to associate with so many great journalists over the past two decades here at Fox. Looking back, I am in awe of the things we witnessed together. Great work was produced and I’m proud of what we accomplished. I wish nothing but the best for all my colleagues throughout the company.”

Before joining WTTG in 2010, Metlin was news director at two other Fox Television Stations outlets: WTXF Philadelphia and WTVT Tampa, Fla.

Patrick Paolin, the station’s VP-GM, said in a statement: “I would like to thank Phil for his 21 years of outstanding service and dedication to FTS. He has been a valued member of our team and I’d like to wish him well in the next chapter of his life.”
