Young Names Jenny Renfrow VP Of HR

The ormer BMI human resources executive joins the station group today.

Young Broadcasting today appointed veteran human resources executive Jenny Renfrow to lead that area for the station group. Based out of WKRN Nashville, Renfrow will report to Young Broadcasting President Deb McDermott in her new role starting today.

Renfrow brings 12-plus years of experience to Young Broadcasting from her previous HR role at Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI), where she spent most of her career and rose through the ranks to become senior director, human resources, in January 2009.

In that role, Renfrow managed the company’s recruitment process, employee relations, salary/compensation administration and its diversity and inclusion program. She previously served in director and associate director positions in BMI’s human resources department after starting there as an employment coordinator.

Prior to joining Broadcast Music Inc., Renfrow was a human resources representative at Ascension Health in St. Louis. She began her career as staffing manager at Robert Half International, also in St. Louis.

Renfrow is an advisory board member at both Nashville Tech and the Entertainment Business Program at Pearl-Cohn High School. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, World at Work and Women in Music Business.
