VUit Introduces ‘Washington Post Live’ Channel

VUit, launched in September by parent company, Syncbak, as a free, ad-supported national streaming service aiming to be the “Netflix of Live, Local, and Free,” said The Washington Post will become a new streaming partner, providing engaging discussions on the most pressing issues of the day produced by Washington Post Live.

Beginning today, VUit will introduce a dedicated Washington Post Live streaming channel that will simulcast the news organization’s live programming while also providing viewers access to top current and past interviews on an on-demand basis. The channel kicks off with a conversation titled, The Future Reset: Inclusive Capitalism, on Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. ET, featuring Paul Romer, Nobel Laureate, Economic Sciences; Andre M. Perry, author of “Know Your Price: Valuing Black Lives and Property in America’s Black Cities,” and Sara Nelson, international president, Association of Flight Attendants.

Recent live interviews with former president Barack Obama and physician and immunologist Anthony Fauci, the country’s leading infectious-disease expert, will be available on demand.

Gray Television, a stakeholder in VUit and Syncbak, helped to create the partnership between Syncbak and The Washington Post.

Syncbak CEO and founder Jack Perry said: “At its core, VUit’s mission is to provide access to meaningful news stories and cultural events and conversations from across the country to a wide audience.  As a streaming partner of Washington Post Live, we are looking forward to introducing new viewers to incredible content created by one of the most well-respected global news brands.”

“Washington Post Live produces timely conversations on a wide range of topics that matter to people, whether it’s the latest on healthcare policy or a conversation with the stars of a new film,” said Kristine Coratti Kelly, GM of Washington Post Live. “We are excited to work with VUit to make this quality, robust programming available to their audience across the country.”
