KCRA News On KQCA To Expand Morning Newscast To 10 A.M. On Oct. 3

Hearst NBC affiliate KCRA Sacramento, Calif., will expand its morning newscast on co-owned MNT affiliate KQCA to 10 a.m. beginning Oct. 3.

KQCA’s KCRA 3 News on KQCA My58 newscast will be anchored by Mike Cherry and Brandi Cummings. The expansion, the stations said, “will allow the KCRA 3 News team to deliver more news, weather and information programming at times that are most convenient” for viewers.

“Our commitment to integrity-first journalism and high-quality local news is what the market wants at 9 a.m. on My58,” said KCRA-KQCA President and General Manager Ariel Roblin.

“We can’t wait to share what’s happening now in Northern California at a new time with our viewers,” said KCRA News Director Derek Schnell. “Mike and Brandi will be a great team at 9 a.m. to highlight the latest headlines and informative interviews while going in-depth on issues affecting our community.”

The expanded KCRA 3 News on KQCA My58 will be followed by The Jennifer Hudson Show at 10 a.m. and Karamo at 11 a.m., with a simulcast of KCRA 3 News at Noon.
