IB Renews, Expands Client Agreements

Existing Internet Broadcasting clients extend full-service agreements and expand mobile, social, video and development platform services

Internet Broadcasting Systems, a provider of digital publishing technology, content and digital agency services for local news-media companies, today announced that a number of its clients have renewed their multi-year contracts, and in every case the scope of services has expanded. Those clients include Hearst Television, Post-Newsweek Stations, Morgan Murphy Media and Bonten Media Group.

“These contract renewals signify clients’ confidence in their partnerships with IB while strengthening their commitment to delivering a superior end-user experience to their audiences and a superior marketing solution to their advertisers,” said Elmer Baldwin, CEO of Internet Broadcasting Systems.

Hearst Television Inc. has signed a multi-year extension of its IB agreement. Hearst Television is a full-solution IB client, which includes publishing, digital agency and news and content solutions. Under this new agreement, IB will also provide Hearst Television with additional video and social media services. “We highly value our relationship with IB and look forward to fully leveraging their platform to continue our digital business growth,” said Roger Keating, SVP Digital Media for Hearst Television.

Post-Newsweek Stations has also renewed its multi-year, full-solutions agreement with IB and has expanded the scope to include dedicated development resources. Going forward, PNS and IB will collaborate on innovations for digital business growth with the help of Washington Post Co.’s WaPo Labs and other thought leaders. “IB consistently delivers high levels of service to our stations,” said Emily Barr, president of Post-Newsweek Stations. “We have been happy with the results of IB’s mobile apps and look forward to bringing new capabilities to our markets.”

Morgan Murphy Media, IB’s longest client, of 15 years, has also renewed its agreement, adding mobile and expanding IB’s digital agency services. “In doing due-diligence, we evaluated our options, and once again chose IB as our partner for the future,” said Brian Burns, VP-COO Morgan Murphy Media. “Over the past few years, IB has remade itself into a more responsive, relevant and innovative partner. We see how this partnership will benefit both our companies long into the future.”

Bonten Media Group has also extended its multi-year agreement with IB and added a mobile website solution that will service its “on-the-go” audience. BMG also evaluated competitors, but chose IB because of its breadth of service, quality of people and collaborative approach, said Randy Bongarten, chairman-CEO of Bonten Media Group. “We need partners who understand our business, our culture and our brand,” Bongarten said. “IB has stepped up to help us better understand how we are going to expand our digital business while driving a deeper engagement with our audiences based on the brand values that are important to us in our markets.”
