KEYE Austin, Texas, will simulcast a local morning-drive radio show beginning Oct. 5.
Under an agreement with Entercom Communications’s KAMX-FM, the CBS affiliate will air JB and Sandy in the Morning each weekday between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. The show is hosted by JB Hager and Sandy Rivers.
“As most of our viewers are aware, Austin has four great television news morning shows that are all essentially the same,” said Amy Villarreal, president and general manager of KEYE.
“Through KEYE’s unique partnership…we will offer our early morning Central Texas viewers and advertisers an innovative, entertaining approach to morning television.”
During the KEYE broadcasts, morning meteorologist Kelly Slifka will provide live local weather and traffic updates from the KEYE studios.
KEYE is owned by Four Points Media, but managed by the Nexstar Broadcasting Group.
