WJCL Unveils New Brand ‘Working For You’
The new brand includes a new slogan and a fresh news set design that relies on the rich history of Savannah, Ga. “Our focus in developing the new brand was to leverage our multiple platform approach to content delivery with a design that would make our viewers feel connected to our newscasts,” says Les Vann, president and GM of the LIN Media-owned station.
The former head of WKRC Cincinnati will take over ABC affiliate WJCL and Fox affil WTGS.
Michael Sullivan has been relieved of his duties as WJCL news director. An official at the ABC affiliate in Savannah, Ga., confirmed today that Sullivan, who has been news director there since 2007, is no longer with the station. Sullivan was reportedly escorted out of the station yesterday while management required staffers to stay inside.
