Cox Media’s Owen Jennings Upped To VP of Product & Innovation

He will play an expanded role in continuing to grow streaming while also creating business development opportunities.

Cox Media Group today promoted Owen Jennings to vice president of product and innovation. In this role, he will continue to lead the product, distribution, user experience (UX) and innovation teams. Jennings will play an expanded role in continuing to grow streaming while also creating business development opportunities.

Marian Pittman, EVP of content, product and innovation, said: “I look forward to Owen’s continued leadership as he and his team evolve our digital product ecosystem and focus on streaming across our Web, App, and CTV products,” said. “This is all part of Owen’s charge of innovating to drive audience engagement and revenue growth.”

Jennings joined CMG in 2014, and over the course of four promotions, “he’s built the consumer-facing digital product team and strategically brought product and digital distribution together to enhance audience experience and reach. Under his leadership, he has collaborated with CMG leaders to help grow CMG’s digital and streaming businesses,” the company said.

Prior to joining CMG, he was focused on cross-platform video solutions at CNN.
