WRIC Adds Constance Jones To Anchor Desk

Nexstar-owned ABC affiliate WRIC Richmond, Va. (DMA 56), has hired Constance Jones to co-anchor with Juan Conde and Chief Meteorologist John Bernier weeknights at 5, 5:30, 6 and 11 p.m.

She brings more than 15 years of experience in journalism, reporting and anchoring from major markets including Miami, New York City, Oklahoma City and Atlanta.

Jones has also worked with veteran news journalist Dan Rather with the CBS Evening News.

In addition, Jones spent nine years working at WPLG Miami as an anchor/reporter. She also worked at WLRN National Public Radio in South Florida. Most recently, she served as a news anchor at WAGA Atlanta.

She also spent time anchoring and reporting at KETK Tyler, Texas, KOCO Oklahoma City.

Jones has been honored by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Texas Associated Press, and the National Association of Black Journalists for Excellence in News Reporting. She was also featured in Miami’s Top 40 Leaders under 40 in Legacy Magazine.

Jones was born in Stuttgart, Germany, and spent most of her childhood overseas. She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
