WTTG Promotes Erin Como, Adds Stacey Rusch

Fox-owned WTTG Washington (DMA 6) today promoted Erin Como to host of Fox 5 Morning Weekends and Stacy Rusch has been named a traffic anchor, effective Oct. 1.

Como succeeds Cori Coffin, who decided to leave WTTG after two years. For the past year, she has anchored Fox5 Morning Weekends. She has also reported on Fox5 Morning and Good Day DC for three days a week. The station offered her another contract, however, she decided to move closer to her husband who works and lives in New York. Coffin’s last day will be Oct. 8.

In addition, Como will anchor WTTG’s Redskins pre-game show, Redskins GameTime, which airs Sunday at 7:30 a.m. and will continue to provide traffic reports on Fox 5 Morning News.

Prior to this, Como served as the station’s morning traffic anchor for the past four years. She also appears on Good Day DC and has her own franchise, Cooking With Como.

Before joining the station, Como was a traffic anchor, host, and reporter for WZTV Nashville. Prior to that, she held positions as traffic reporter, assignment editor, and planning editor for WCAU Philadelphia. Earlier in her career, she was a host of the Down the Shore Show and field producer for Philly.com.

Rusch is a TV lifestyle expert based in Washington. She is a regular guest on Good Day DC and Fox 5’s Like It Or Not. She began her career in television working as QVC’s first global brand developer, not only in the U.S., but also the U.K. and Germany. She also hosted a lifestyle television show in Loudoun County, Va.
