NATPE Adds Five To Board Of Directors

Coming onboard in advance of the organization’s NATPE Miami event in January are NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises EVP Peter Blacker, Viacom Digital Studios President Kelly Day, MAG Managing Partner Shahid Khan, all3media International CEO Louise Pedersen and Verance CEO Nil Shah.

The National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) today announced the election of new board members.

Joining are Peter Blacker, EVP of revenue strategy and innovation for NBCUTelemundo Enterprises; Kelly Day, president of Viacom Digital Studios; Shahid Khan, managing partner of MAG (Meridian Advisory Group); Louise Pedersen, CEO of all3media International; and Nil Shah, CEO of Verance.

The new appointments are effective immediately and each new appointee will serve a three-year term.

“Our board is stronger than ever now that these important voices have been added to the content conversation that is central to our organization,” said Andy Kaplan, NATPE chairman of the board. “This upcoming year is set to be one of the most important in media and the worlds in which NATPE lives are intersecting like never before.”

NATPE said the five “demonstrate a wide variety of direct and relevant experience within the current evolution of the content marketplace, and will bring a dynamic perspective to an already strong board that is shaping the focus of NATPE’s flagship event — NATPE Miami — scheduled for Jan. 21-23, 2020, at the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami, Florida.”

Blacker is responsible for the revenue strategy of Telemundo Enterprises’ domestic and international businesses. He works across linear, digital and mobile platforms to amplify existing revenue streams and develop new businesses in the U.S. and abroad.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Day oversees Viacom’s digital content strategy and initiatives to create and expand original programming and branded content across the leading and emerging social platforms for Viacom’s portfolio of global entertainment brands.

Khan is a digital thought leader and entrepreneur, who founded two award-winning companies, the global management consulting firm, MAG, and the Content Value Management platform, Mediamorph (recently sold).

Pedersen leads all3media International, which works with television producers to co-finance television programs and is a leading global TV sales business.

Shah leads Verance, an inventor of next-generation movie, music and television technologies that set the industry standard for content measurement, enhancement and protection. He recently led the company through a major expansion from film into television.
