Alexandria Leavenworth New Senior Director Of Creative And Strategic Marketing For NBC Sports Bay Area, NBC Sports California, And NBC Bay Area

She will lead an integrated team responsible for enhancing the media properties' brands and expanding their influence across Northern California.

NBC Sports Bay Area, NBC Sports California, and NBC Bay Area (KNTV) today appointed Alexandria Leavenworth as Senior Director of Creative and Strategic Marketing. She will lead an integrated team responsible for enhancing the media properties’ brands and expanding their influence across Northern California.

She will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing marketing initiatives for the NBC-owned station and regional sports networks, collaborating closely with KSTS (Telemundo). Additionally, Leavenworth will oversee the production of on-air promotions and graphics for news programming, content integrations, social media, pre-and postgame shows and live events. Leavenworth’s first day in her new role is Feb. 5.

Leavenworth joins KNTV and NBC Sports Bay Area/California from KCRA-KQCA Sacramento, Calif. As the station’s promotion manager, she oversaw the execution of station promotion for on-air, off-air, and digital for KCRA as well as KQCA (Estrella TV), MeTV Sacramento, H&I, and the Hearst streaming platform Very Local.

Prior to being the promotion manager, Leavenworth was the station’s assistant creative services director, responsible for on-air, off-air, and digital promotion, including the development of brand and marketing strategies for broadcast, multiple digital channels and website and mobile apps.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Prior to that, Leavenworth was the promotion manager for KSBW Salinas, Calif. She developed brand and marketing strategies for all media platforms, including principal promotional oversight of the multicast station, Central Coast ABC.

In addition to her work at the California-based television stations, Leavenworth has worked at numerous corporations, including the San Jose Giants minor league baseball organization and the Pebble Beach Co., covering a variety of live television and sporting events.

A California Central Coast native, Leavenworth earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and media production from California State University, East Bay. She received her master’s degree in journalism and mass communications, with a specialization in integrated media communications, from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
