Accedo Launches Sports Solution At NAB

Accedo will introduce a sports solution at next week’s NAB Show in Las Vegas. It enables sports service providers to launch OTT and direct-to-consumer services featuring live, catch up and on-demand video to all major platforms.

Accedo’s new solution lets sports service providers give fans a personalized user experience and includes AI-driven business intelligence features. It makes full use of Accedo’s award-winning Accedo One cloud platform, which powered more than 8 million daily users during major sporting events in June and July 2018, largely driven by soccer and cricket.

Michael Lantz, CEO, Accedo, said: “Sport is one of the key drivers of live video consumption, and it has one of the most advanced sets of UX requirements on the market. We believe that modern sports service providers need to be able to continually optimize and control their OTT service to keep fans engaged and loyal. Accedo’s award winning products and solutions provide the foundation for a successful sports service.”

The Accedo sports solution contains a range of features and can be customized to customer requirements. Example of features include clipping and social sharing, A/B testing and data-driven design as well as innovative new capabilities such as augmented reality and virtual reality experiences. Accedo will also launch new advanced service management and consulting packages tailored to the sports use-case.

Luke Gaydon, Accedo VP of solutions and innovation, added: “Our mission is to provide a technology platform that ensures the ambitions of service providers can match the dedication and passion of their audience — the fans. We remember where we were for the Miracle of Medinah or when Usain Bolt ran that 100m. We want to be involved in helping to create and recreate the next generation of sporting memories for every sports fan around the world.”

Accedo will be previewing its new sports solution at its NAB Show booth (SU9514) in Las Vegas April 8-11.
