Allison Gibson Named KWWL News Director

Quincy Media-owned NBC affiliate KWWL Cedar Rapids, Iowa (DMA 91) has appointed Allison Gibson news director at KWWL. She begins her new position on Dec. 4.
Gibson joins from co-owned WEEK-WHOI Peoria, Ill., where she was assistant news director.

Gibson brings nearly 30 years of journalism and newsroom management experience to KWWL. In addition to Peoria, she has worked in various management roles for WSJV South Bend, Ind.; WDBJ Roanoke, Va.; and News 12 New Jersey.

Gibson has also served as an instructor in electronic newsgathering at Ohio University.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Ohio University.
