Cox’s Gamut Names Four New Leaders

Cox-owned Gamut today appointed four new leaders who will oversee key areas of the digital media services business.

Soo Jin Oh is Gamut’s new VP of client strategy and solutions, Meghan Bentley is now director of business development, Jason Whidby is regional director of sales, West, and Blake McClean is regional director of sales, Southeast. 

In addition to overseeing Gamut’s planning, media strategy, and ad operations team, Soo Jin Oh will spearhead Gamut’s data strategy, channel partnerships, and product development. Soo Jin has more than 14 years of experience in digital on both the buy and sell side.

Prior to Gamut, she served as the SVP of data business and ad operations at Magnetic, where she led the company’s acquisition of strategic data partners and was responsible for all post-sales operations. Before that, she was the VP of ad operations at IDG Technetwork. She was also part of the core team at Dogtime Media. She kick-started her digital career at Google after receiving her BA at the University of California, Berkeley.

As director of business development, Meghan Bentley will focus on building strategic agency and client-side relationships, serving as an expert in category and marketplace trends both internally and externally, and working between sales, marketing, and product to evolve Gamut’s messaging in the marketplace.

Bentley comes to Gamut with broad experience within the industry, most recently from Tapad. Having spent the last 13 years in a very diverse set of roles, including operations, sales, and business development, her expertise is in all things marketing in media, creative, data and technology. 

BRAND CONNECTIONS

Prior to joining Gamut, Jason Whidby was director of sales at MNI Targeted Media.  Whidby has more than seven years of digital and online sales experience with a focus on managing and developing relationships. Having worked as the leader of an online sales team in the past, Whidby has extensive experience working directly with clients to understand their needs before planning customized advertising opportunities. He earned his BA in business administration and management from Whittier College.

Blake McClean returns to Cox Media Group from VideoAmp, where he was senior account executive. Over the last few years, he also spent time at TVTY as a senior business development manager and YuMe as a sales manager.
