Jason Bristol Joins KHOU Houston Sports
Tegna-owned CBS affiliate KHOU Houston (DMA 10) has hired Jason Bristol as a new sports anchor.
Bristol will be seen on air beginning in early October. He will appear weekdays on KHOU 11 News and he will host KHOU 11 Sports Extra on Sunday nights.
Bristol has won 20 Mid-Atlantic Emmy awards and three Edward R. Murrow Regional awards as a sports reporter and anchor. The Pennsylvania Associated Press Broadcasters Association awarded him first place in sports casting three years in a row.
Bristol graduated from State University of New York at Oswego with a degree in broadcast and mass communications.
