John Bachman Joins WAWS-WTEV News
Cox Media Group’s WAWS-WTEV Jacksonville, Fla. (DMA 48), has hired John Bachman as an anchor. He will start at the stations in early fall.
Bachman joins from Cox’s WSB Atlanta where he started as weekend anchor seven years ago. In 2011 he was promoted to co-anchor of the 4 p.m. weekday newscast.
Bachman grew up in a newsroom where his father had been an anchor for more than 30-years.
He graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., and then began his television news career as a reporter in Sioux Falls, S.D. He has also worked in Raleigh, N.C.
