KTAZ Phoenix Tops 10 PM April News Ratings

Telemundo-owned KTAZ Phoenix (DMA 11) announced Tuesday that its Noticiero Telemundo Arizona at 10 p.m. was the most-watched local newscast in the market during April 2015 among adults 18-34 and adults 18-49, regardless of language.

The station said this is the first time in 25 years that its 10 o’clock local newscast secured the No. 1 spot in the market regardless of language among these two key demographic groups. Additionally, KTAZ was the most-watched Spanish-language station at 6 p.m. among adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

“As a local news station, we have an obligation to serve our viewers and help our communities get the information they need when they need it and want it,” said Araceli DeLeon, KTAZ president-GM. “This accomplishment only re-affirms our commitment to continue providing more news, more breaking weather and information to help our viewers stay ahead of the news.” 

Specifically, Noticiero Telemundo Arizona at 10 p.m. (Monday-Friday) averaged a 0.8 rating for adults 18-34 and a 1.0 rating for adults 18-49. KTAZ also outranked all other Spanish-language stations in the market in the 6 p.m. time period with Caso Cerrado Edicion Estelar (Monday-Friday).

KTAZ was the most-watched station among Spanish-language adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. Caso Cerrado Edicion Estelar averaged a 0.7 time period rating among adults 18-49 and a 0.8 time period rating among adults 25-54.
