KTNV Taps Mike Dello Stritto As News Director

The former managing editor of KPIX San Francisco will lead news operations at the Scripps ABC affiliate in Las Vegas.

E.W. Scripps-owned ABC affiliate KTNV Las Vegas (DMA 41) has hired Mike Dello Stritto as news director, effective Aug. 31. He succeeds Karin Movesian who left the station in April to become news director of KSDK St. Louis.

Dello Stritto comes to KTNV from KPIX San Francisco where he was managing editor.

This is a homecoming for Dello Stritto; he worked at KTNV as a reporter from 2004 to 2006. He left Las Vegas for a reporter job in Sacramento at KVOR, became reporter-managing editor and later assistant news director, before moving to the Bay area and the job at KPIX.

“Mike is a tough journalist with excellent instincts and a thorough knowledge of the inner workings of Las Vegas,” said KTNV VP-GM Jim Prather. “As a reporter at Action News, Mike lived the brand, asking tough questions and fighting for our viewers. As a manager at the CBS station in San Francisco, he supervised breaking news and daily news coverage, always putting the viewer first. He will be a great leader for our newsroom.”

Dello Stritto has a Bachelor of Science in telecommunications-news from the University of Florida.
