KTVU San Francisco Debuts ‘Sports Wrap’

Fox O&O KTVU San Francisco (DMA 6) launched a 30-minute, weekly sports program Sports Wrap on Sunday, June 7.

Hosted by KTVU Sports Director Mark Ibanez and sports anchor Joe Fonzi, Sports Wrap aims to go beyond the traditional highlights of the day and provide an in-depth look at teams, players, games and industry news, according to the station.

In making the announcement, VP-News Director Dana Hahn said: “Bay Area sports fans already know that KTVU has a long-standing history of covering sports on the local and national level. Sports Wrap continues and expands this commitment to more in-depth coverage of all sports.”

Ibanez added: “The Bay Area has incredibly passionate sports fans and it’s great to provide the sports programming that they crave. Everywhere I go, people tell me they want more coverage of their favorite players and teams — now they will have it.”
