Veronica Johnson Moves From WRC To WJLA

Sinclair-owned ABC affiliate WJLA Washngton (DMA 7) said today that on Monday, June 6, meteorologist Veronica Johnson will move from WRC Washington to WJLA’s StormWatch7 weather team, headed by Chief Meteorologist Doug Hill.

Johnson has been at NBC-owned WRC since 2000. At WJLA she will partner with meteorologist Eileen Whelan on Good Morning Washington’s weather every 10 minutes, weekday mornings from 4:25 to 10.

Prior to moving to Washington, Johnson worked at both WMAR and WBFF in Baltimore, at WABC New York and at The Weather Channel.

She holds a degree in atmospheric science from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and the American Meteorological Society’s seal.
