Former WBer becomes senior VP at new network.
Elizabeth Tumulty has been named CW’s senior vice president, network distribution, reporting to John Maatta, the new network’s chief operating officer.
In her new position, Tumulty will be responsible for CW’s affiliate relations activities and her duties will include managing the daily affiliate-network relationship as well as developing new ways to enhance and expand that relationship, as it relates to the network’s distribution footprint. Additionally, Tumulty will work closely with Peter Schruth, president of CBS Affiliate Relations.
“Elizabeth has a substantial wealth of experience having worked at television stations, in syndication and at The WB in affiliate relations,” said Maatta. “She has demonstrated a keen understanding of the issues that stations confront and solutions that work to benefit both the affiliates and the network. Elizabeth is always looking to create win/win situations; which is a critical skill as the broadcast industry continues to evolve at a rapid pace. We look forward to her invaluable contributions in this critical position.”
