Litton Entertainment is distributing the Emmy Award-winning nature and wildlife series Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild for the 2010-11 season.
The E.I. series takes viewers around the world with the animal adventurer. Each episode follows Hanna on a mission; whether it’s delivering much-needed supplies to game rangers in Rwanda, or entertaining his grandkids at the Columbus Zoo.
“We are thrilled to be distributing Into the Wild and to have all of the Jack Hanna television properties under our banner,” said Dave Morgan, President and CEO of Litton Entertainment. “Litton pioneered FCC-friendly programs with Jack, and today that is still a cornerstone of our business.”
Into the Wild has also announced a sponsorship alliance with the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium, a facility dedicated to inspiring a greater appreciation of wildlife for the advancement of conservation action. This relationship creates an opportunity for the Columbus Zoo to spread the word about its conservation efforts, while providing the television series with a world-class location to base the production.
Through the sponsorship, the Columbus Zoo will provide access to footage and stories relating to a number of conservation programs, which will be featured in each episode. Every episode will include opens and closes shot at various locations around the zoo.
