Dateline executive editor to be senior producer of Evening News.
Marc Rosenwasser has been named senior producer of the CBS Evening News with Bob Schieffer, with the new position effective July 17.
Rosenwasser has spent the past 16 years at NBC News, where he served as executive editor (2001-05) and senior broadcast producer (1994-2001) of Dateline and as executive producer of Tom Brokaw Reports (2001-05). Before that, he spent seven years as a writer and producer for ABC News’ World News Tonight, Primetime Live and the news division’s documentary unit (1982-90). Rosenwasser began his career as a correspondent for the Associated Press (1975-82), where he worked for seven years, including two in its Moscow bureau.
He has received 22 Emmy Awards, two Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards and one George Foster Peabody Award.
