Pittard-Sullivan veteran Brian Black will head the new outpost and expand the company’s work in providing branding services to interactive media.
Philadelphia-based branding and promotion company Concrete Pictures will open an office in Santa Monica on August 1 and from there, expand the services it provides to websites and other interactive media. Brian Black, newly appointed vice president of interactive media, will head the new office.
“With the boom in interactive media, as well as a significant increase in the number of our clients, it was important to establish a more formalized West Coast presence so we can support the demand from our clients more effectively,” said Jeff Boortz, Concrete Pictures’ President. “So our next logical step was to open an L.A. office with Brian spearheading its efforts.â€ÂÂÂ
Prior to joining Concrete Pictures, Black most recently served as consulting Creative Director with DirecTV’s User Experience Group, where his design and development expertise helped lead the satellite provider’s traditional digital broadcast network into the broadband market. Previously, he was executive vice president, creative director of Pittard Sullivan’s Interactive and Convergent Media Group, where his solutions were designed and developed across interactive platforms and brands such as TiVo, WebTV, AOL/Time Warner, TV Guide, BT, Scientific Atlanta, SeaChange and Cox Cable.
“I am looking forward to overseeing this new office with a seasoned staff positioned to actively identify and pursue new opportunities in the interactive media space,†said Black, who reports to Andy Hann, Concrete Pictures’ recently promoted SVP of Creative Services.
