Congressional candidates will appear in event co-sponsored by the station, League Of Women Voters and AARP Wisconsin.
All five primary candidates for Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District have agreed to participate in a candidate forum to be held at 6:30 p.m., Aug. 21 at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.
WLUK news anchor Tom Milbourn will moderate and the station will videotape the 90-minute forum. It will air the unedited 8-minute segments of the candidates during its Fox 11 News at 9 broadcast later that evening and for the next six consecutive nights.
Jay Zollar, WLUK vice president and general manager, noted: “Dedicating eight minutes of news content for seven nights wasn’t a difficult decision. The 8th Congressional is a pivotal race with significant national attention. Providing unedited responses will help voters make educated choices. We are proud to carve out this time in Fox 11 News at 9.â€ÂÂÂ
