The late Aaron Spelling’s classic series from the seventies is getting a run on Ion Media’s i network starting Sept. 25.
Somewhere, Aaron Spelling is smiling.
His Charlie’s Angels is back in primetime—this time on i, Ion Media’ broadcast network.
The action series, among the many hits of the late producer, helped define television in the late 1970s (it aired on ABC from 1976 to 1981).
On i, the program will air each weeknight at 9 p.m. ET, starting Monday, Sept. 25, and following a special Angels Weekend marking the 30th anniversary of the show’s premiere on Sept. 22, 1976.
The show features never-seen (but often heard) millionaire Charles Townsend (John Forsythe), who hires Kelly (Jaclyn Smith), Sabrina (Kate Jackson) and Jill (Farah Fawcett) to act as operatives for his private investigation agency.
Together with John Bosley (David Doyle) as their assistant and liaison, the former police officers solve the toughest of cases using their wits, skills and beauty.
