With the addition of the Lenfest-owned indie, the male-targetted multicast network is now in 11 of the top 25 U.S. TV markets.
Tuff TV, a multicast television network targeted at men, today added Lenfest Broadcasting’s independent WMCN Philadelphia (DMA 4) as its newest top 10 affiliate.
“Tuff TV has really hit the ground running in terms of getting itself out there, and it’s a perfect fit with our market and demographics,” said Bob Lund, WMCN president-GM. “What differentiates Tuff TV from other multicast channels is its ability to draw viewership from males across all age groups,” Lund added. “TUFF TV is one of a kind, and with its increasing amount of original programming, we’re excited to see what the future holds.”
In addition to Philadelphia, Tuff TV is available in 11 of the nation’s top 25 markets including Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Phoenix, Detroit, Denver, Orlando and Cleveland.
The network said expansion into additional markets will be announced soon, including Buffalo, N.Y., on WBXZ-LP.
Tuff TV is available to affiliates via live streaming and satellite delivery.
“WMCN makes an excellent addition to our growing list of affiliates,” commented Lou Seals, Tuff TV founder-CEO. “The station’s broad coverage area includes not only Philadelphia, but also Atlantic City and Trenton in New Jersey, which makes our current and upcoming original content available to even more viewers and advertisers alike,” Seals said. “Clearing a major market with WMCN is a win-win for everyone.”
