Obsesh Media To Distribute Original Premium Series On Sinclair’s STIRR And TBD

Obsesh Media, a digital platform for outdoor sports top athletes and high-profile lifestyle personalities to connect with fans through original video, has a deal to bring its original premium programming to Sinclair Broadcast Group’s free, ad-supported streaming service STIRR and its multicast network TBD.

The first series in the deal, Parkour Adventures of Jesse La Flair, now airs on Tuesday nights at 10/9c on TBD, a channel that offers internet-based series and other digital content to 78 million over-the-air homes. The series is hosted and directed by luminary professional parkour athlete, filmmaker, and Hollywood stuntman Jesse La Flair, who is also on the Obsesh Pro roster and athlete advisory board. Parkour Adventures follows La Flair as he travels to Santorini, Greece to compete in the biggest parkour competition in the world, then sets off on a global tour to uncover the best athletes and communities behind the sport.

Obsesh has a unique approach to original programming and storytelling that perfectly aligns with our free to air entertainment channels,” said Ben Lister, director of content acquisitions, Sinclair. “Starting with Parkour Adventures of Jesse La Flair, we can now definitively say, we are catering to everyone’s tastes and preferences, making it easier than ever to find what you want across multiple platforms.”

“We are thrilled to bring to STIRR and TBD our original programming, which takes a fun and fresh approach to outdoor sports, from the perspective of professional athletes and their stories,” said Tracy Benson, CEO of Obsesh. “We are all witnessing the challenges of this pandemic in several industries, including entertainment and sports, and for Obsesh to help step in, create, and deliver original series that highlight the personal stories and adventures of pro athletes, is key. We are honored and humbled to be featured alongside some of the best TV programming and partners that exist today.”

Obsesh launched early 2019 with a mission to modernize storytelling for a younger generation and bring forward the authentic voices of the Outdoor athletes to help them turn their sports talent into storytelling careers. The company produces and distributes original programming featuring its roster of Pro Athletes, including its flagship series, Obsesh TV Adventure Amplified, which is going into its second season on Roku, Amazon Fire, Samsung TV, Vizio, NBC’s Peacock Streaming Network and more.
