KRBK Springfield, Mo., Adds Me-TV

With the addition, the classic TV diginet expands its coverage to 90% of the U.S., with 157 affiliates. In Odessa, Texas, it moves from a multicast channel to KWWT’s primary channel.

Weigel Broadcasting’s classic TV multicast channel Me-TV, Memorable Entertainment Television, celebrated the new year with a new affiliate and station upgrade.

Me-TV signed a new affiliation agreement with Koplar Communications-owned KRBK Springfield, Mo., (DMA 74), which is airing the channel on ch. 49.2. Me-TV is also carried on MediaCom, Suddenlink and Cable America cable systems.

“People in this area are nostalgic and look back at TV shows they grew up on with great fondness, and they want to share these memories with their family. The decision was simple,” said Ted Koplar, owner and president of Koplar Communications.

Me-TV’s Odessa, Texas (DMA 150), affiliate KWWT, owned by JB Broadcasting, is now on primary ch. 30.1, having moved from 30.2. The channel also has cable and satellite carriage.

“We have had an overwhelming response from our viewers requesting that Me-TV be made more widely available in the Odessa-Midland DMA,” said Jim Primm, KWWT GM. “We are excited about our move of Me-TV from a multicast position to our full-power primary.”

Me-TV features a range of programming that includes almost 100 series from Warner Bros., Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, CBS Television Distribution, NBCUniversal Television as well as many independent series owners and producers.
