KTTV Boosts Rams Coverage With New Shows

This fall, Fox-owned KTTV Los Angels (DMA 2) will debut two sports programs to commemorate the NFL Rams’ return to Los Angeles.

Fox 11 Pigskin Preview (30 minutes) will air Fridays at 10:30 p.m. and the Fox 11 Sports Wrap (30-minutes) postgame program will air on most NFL double-header Sundays at approximately 5 p.m. On single late game days, the program will air at 4 p.m.

In making the announcement, KTTV President-GM Bob Cook said: “We are thrilled that the Rams are returning to Los Angeles and excited to mark this historic moment with two new shows devoted to this franchise. We are fortunate to have Liz Habib alongside Hall of Famer Jackie Slater and the legendary Vince Ferragamo to lead our Rams coverage this season.” 

Hosted by KTTV Sports Anchor Liz Habib, the programs will provide analysis from two former Rams, Jackie Slater and Vince Ferragamo. Slater is a Pro Football Hall of Fame offensive lineman and Ferragamo was the first quarterback to take the Rams to the Super Bowl.

Fox 11 Pigskin Preview will cover the Rams throughout their first season back in Los Angeles. This includes highlights, player reaction, and a look ahead to each game, as well as features of great past Rams from their years in Los Angeles.

Fox 11 Sports Wrap will be a postgame show covering the day across the NFL, providing highlights, scores and football news, as well as a look at the rest of weekend’s sports.

In addition to these programs, KTTV will air a special series of sports coverage — Good Day Game Day on Sept. 18 for the Rams home opener against the Seattle Seahawks. From 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Steve Edwards, Araksya Karapetyan and Liz Habib will anchor live and kick off the 3 hours from LA Coliseum with on-field reporting from Phil Shuman, and Sandra Endo interacting with tailgating fans.

Back at the KTTV studio, Tony McEwing will report news, while Maria Quiban will provide weather updates. Rick Dickert will be in the Skyfox helicopter, reporting on traffic around LA and the Coliseum area.

At 11 a.m., Ferragamo and Slater will join the show. By noon, Good Day Game Day will be an hour-long Rams pre-game show with Liz Habib, Vince Ferragamo and Jackie Slater. Coverage continues after the game with Ferragamo, Slater and Habib in a special one-hour edition of Fox 11 Sports Wrap.

At 5 p.m., anchors Edwards and Karapetyan, along with the entire KTTV news team will deliver the news. The coverage will end with the Fox 11 News at 10 p.m., anchored by Jeff Michael and Christine Devine.
