In a reorganization, Valari Staab, president of the NBC Owned Television Stations will also oversee Telemundo's 16 TV stations as well as Boston-based regional cable news network NECN.

Valari Staab has some new responsibilities at NBCUniversal.

From here on out, the president of the NBC Owned Television Stations will also oversee Telemundo’s 16 TV stations.

Also moving into what is being called the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations will be NECN, a Boston-based regional cable news network serving 3.6 million homes.

In the new order, Manuel Abud will continue to run the Telemundo stations, but will report to Staab rather than Emilio Romano, head of the Telemundo network.

Likewise, NECN head Stacey Bronner will report to Staab rather than to NBC Sports.

Staab announced the reorganization in a note to employees today. “I know you look forward to getting to know the Telemundo Station and NECN teams, just as I do. Let’s all work together to serve our diverse and varied communities,” the note says.
