WYFF Adds Allyson Powell For Morning Traffic

Hearst Television’s NBC affiliate WYFF Greenville, S.C. (DMA 37) has hired Allyson Powell as its weekday morning traffic reporter beginning Aug. 6.

She will join anchors Geoff Hart and Beth Brotherton and meteorologist Dale Gilbert with “Beat the Traffic” reports starting at 6 a.m.

Powell grew up in Greenville and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where she received a degree in broadcast journalism. Powell has worked at KOSA Midland-Odessa, Texas, as a reporter and at Comcast Sports in San Francisco as a sports reporter.

In addition to reporting on traffic for WYFF News 4 Today, Powell will contribute traffic reports to the early evening newscasts at 5 5:30 and 6 p.m. daily.
