Calrec Audio | Booth C1745 | Website: www.calrecaudio.com | Nutclough Mill, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, HX7 8 EZ | +44 1422 842

AoIP Networking Interfaces includes an AES67/Ravenna interface, an AVB interface, a modular I/O Dante card that also has AES67 compatibility and a SMPTE 2022-6 video interface). Calrec’s customers can now interface with multiple protocols at the same time. For example, a signal can be received via AES67 and then sent out via SMPTE 2022, AVB, Ravenna, Dante or AES67. Signal-processing takes place via modular cards or 1U boxes.

Each signal also benefits from the management facilities inherent in Hydra2. This benefit is especially powerful in remote environments where multiple trucks are connected. It means that different units can operate across multiple formats in the field.

Each element of Calrec’s protocol range redundantly connects to Hydra2 and appears like any other I/O resource on the Hydra2 network.

ChyronHego | Booth SL1210 | Website: www.chyronhego.com | 5 Hub Dr., Melville, NY 11747 | 631-845-2000

ChyronHego IP workflows — At the 2016 NAB Show, ChyronHego will showcase the solutions and workflows that are easing the path to all-IP operations for its broadcast customers. The spotlight will be on end-to-end workflows for news and sports production, channel branding and tickers and weather production that integrate ChyronHego’s core product family as well as new and recently acquired technologies.

The migration to IP is top-of-mind for many broadcast operations, but so far the focus has been mostly on standards for video transmission over Ethernet connections. ChyronHego believes that the IP migration is about much more than replacing a cable; it requires a completely integrated, end-to-end, software-based approach that leverages standard IT equipment and infrastructure.

Cinegy | Booth SL11116 | Website: www.cinegy.com | Muellerstr.27, 80469 Munich, Germany | +49-89-238853-60

Cinegy as a Service — Cinegy as a Service is an IP-friendly, hardware-free way of enabling users to deploy software-defined television on cloud-based virtual machines. All of Cinegy’s software technology, starting with Cinegy’s real-time playout server and broadcast automation software, Cinegy Air, will steadily migrate to cloud-based services such as Amazon Web Services, enabling users to spin up, test drive, and, if they choose, deploy Cinegy technology in an HD or 4K cloud.

By having Cinegy’s software hosted on GPU-friendly Amazon Web Services users only pay for what they need, when they need it. There’s no upfront investment.  Requirements for increases in system capacity can be more accurately planned and costed. And because the cloud vendor provides resiliency and data protection, the need for those resources in house is eliminated.

Price: For pricing on Cinegy software modules, contact an authorized Cinegy dealer.

DANIEL2 — Cinegy will feature its finalized DANIEL2 acquisition and production codec at NAB 2016. DANIEL2 is GPU-based and has no dependence on legacy codec architectures. The codec resolves a problem faced when designing 4K, 8K or even 16K systems that need to handle multiple streams in real time. Being totally GPU focused, DANIEL2 vastly accelerates the entire production chain. It decodes multiple 4K and 8K streams while performing real-time compositing, color correction, scaling and titling.

Cinegy Open Tools — To ease everyone’s transition to IP, Cinegy will announce details of Cinegy Open Tools, a free and entirely open suite of tools and utilities for broadcasters converting to IP or attempting other transitions common in the industry today.

The range of free tools and utilities can be used to test, check, benchmark, convert — whatever applies — to develop new solutions, products or workflows. Cinegy hopes that by openly sharing, for example, high quality codec analysis or stream analyzer tools, others will benefit from the company’s experience and drive the industry as a whole further into an IP-based world.

Grass Valley, a Belden Brand | SL106 | www.grassvalley.com | 3499 Douglas-B.-Floreani, Montreal, Quebec, Canada H4S 2C6 | +1-514-333-1772

GV Node — GV Node allows broadcasters to combine many of the advantages of a data center model with the specific requirements of a live broadcast production environment, such as vertically accurate and quiet switching. Well-suited for live production, particularly the OB van market due to its high performance and small footprint, GV Node offers support of larger distributed systems with star topologies for larger productions.

GV Node combines the functionality of a traditional broadcast hybrid audio/video router with IP aggregation and processing, such as multiviewing and audio mux/demux. This means more flexible monitoring capabilities with vastly reduced cabling since the processing is embedded within the switching fabric making the system well-suited for production and playout applications. GV Node is also designed to leverage the large portfolio of Densité processing cards which can be supported within the GV Node frame. GV Node supports the AIMS-approved industry standards to assure interoperability across the industry.
