‘Paternity Court’ Gets Two More Years
The syndicated court show Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court has been guaranteed two more seasons. The show — distributed by Orion Television and cleared in 85% percent of the U.S. — debuted in 2013, shot in Los Angeles. It moved to Atlanta for season two in 2014.
‘Wheel’ Rolls To 3 Cities For Promo Campaign
Given the negatives that face the syndicated TV marketplace — a lack of successful new entries, immense competition from digital video for ad dollars and technology that allows viewers to watch on their own time — somehow its major daytime players stand to do solid business in the 2016 ad bonanza. Stable, veteran shows like Ellen from Warner Bros. are seen as safe bets for advertisers.
Pastor Jakes Welcomes The TV Challenge
Launching a syndicated show is never easy, and it’s made even more difficult when there’s no established syndicator attached. That doesn’t seem to faze T.D. Jakes. “Everything I ever did started at ground level zero,” he says. “It is the fight that attracts me. If everything were nice and neat and all put together, I’m not sure I would be as energetic.”
The new talker from NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution will be produced in New York City and feature a live band when it debuts in syndication on Sept. 12.
FABLife will not be returning for a second season. Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution takes over distribution from MGM and clears the viral videos show on the ABC Owned Television Stations Group. The combination of ABC O&Os and Right This Minute partner stations creates a clearance footprint of 60% of the U.S. and Includes 18 of the top 20 markets for 2016-17.
