Starting noon Monday, Aug. 24, you’ll notice some changes in the tone and style of the WOIO Cleveland newscasts. The station is saying a formal farewell to the wild and woolly 19 Action News format, rebranding its news operation Cleveland 19 News. The Raycom-owned CBS affiliate has been moving away from the raucous 19 Action News approach for a couple of years, but the station’s new executives felt it was time to accelerate the process.
